Paisley.

October 27, 2022

Meet Paisley this 14 pound fluff ball has been in my life for 6 1/2 years. I found her in a trashcan while I was walking into a Walmart to buy a beer pong table. I had no plans of buying a cat or having a pet at this time, but the universe told me that I needed to take care of some thing that wasn’t just me.

I vividly remember walking into Walmart and hearing a little meow from the garbage can and there is this little black kitten in a shoebox. I grabbed off the shoebox and this very large homeless man runs up to me and tells me that that is his and it is $20.  I very nervously gave the man $20, put the cat in my large tote bag that I was carrying and walked into Walmart. I Called my mom and let her know that I was a new cat mom and I bought all of the things that one needs for a kitten, and I took her home. Little did I know that Miss Paisley was covered in fleas, and my one bedroom apartment would soon be infiltrated by fleas. This was an awful experience, but we got through it and much more. Six and a half years later I am incredibly grateful to have had this little fluff ball to keep me company on days when I didn’t have the energy to speak to anyone or take care of myself. I think it’s really important to have some thing to love besides yourself. To have something that you need to take care of for it to survive.

so even if you were not a cat person you’ll love my little garbage can for ball.
